"Using the site was honestly a hassle"
I spent some time trying to browse venturesurplus.com, and it got frustrating fast. The pages were slow, the filters didn’t really help much, and I felt like I had to keep explaining to myself where basic things should be because nothing was easy to find. It was even worse on my phone. The products might be totally fine, but the website was such a pain to use that I gave up sooner than I expected.

"Took way longer than I expected"
The delivery showed up really late. I kept checking the tracking, then forgetting about it, then remembering again like, wait, where is this thing? It did arrive eventually, but the wait was frustrating.

I emailed them twice about my order because I just needed a quick update, but I never got a real reply. I waited about a week hoping someone would get back to me with something helpful, but nothing came through. For me, it was really frustrating since it felt like a simple question that should’ve been easy to answer

"Checkout only works when it wants to"
I tried placing an order, but the checkout was all over the place. It froze on me once, then suddenly my cart looked empty, and the shipping page took forever to load.
I ended up having to type my info in more than once, and even then I wasn’t totally sure if the order actually went through. That’s frustrating when payment details are involved.
The products might be fine, but the checkout feels like it only works when it wants to. After dealing with it for a while, I just gave up

"Sizing was a little tricky for me"
I ordered a couple things from Venture Surplus and everything showed up without any issues. I was mostly paying attention to the fit, and that’s where it felt a bit hit or miss. One piece fit pretty much how I expected, but another was tighter than the size chart made it seem. Not a huge deal, but I definitely had to do some guessing. I’d probably order again, I’d just look extra closely at the measurements next time.

My order showed up packed well, and nothing was crushed or rattling around inside. The box had some wear on it, but the items themselves looked fine. I’d probably buy again, though I’m still a little unsure about the overall quality until I use it more.

I got my order and the quality was bad. The material felt cheap, the stitching was rough, and it just didn’t seem like something that would last very long. I tried reaching out about it too, but I kept getting transferred around, which made the whole thing even more frustrating. Definitely not happy with this purchase.

I was frustrated with how long my return took. I sent it back and then ended up having to keep checking in because I had no idea what was going on with my refund.
The replies I got didn’t really tell me much either, which made it even more annoying. It just felt like I was stuck waiting around with no real answer, and yeah, I definitely started regretting the purchase.
Maybe other people had a smoother experience, but mine was a pain from start to finish. Based on this, I probably wouldn’t buy from them again

"Got a bunch of the wrong stuff"
I ordered a few surplus items, and somehow about half of what showed up wasn’t what I picked. Some sizes were off, and a couple of the parts were just completely wrong. I tried to get it sorted out, but the whole thing ended up being more annoying than it was worth. Weirdly, I still remember one of the wrong pieces had a tiny faded sticker on it that said “inspected” even though it clearly wasn’t. I probably won’t order from them again.

"Condition was a bit off"
I ordered from venturesurplus.com and it showed up quick, maybe a few days sooner than I expected. The problem was the condition didn’t really match what I thought I was getting. The listing made it look cleaner and maybe 20-30% less worn than what actually arrived. Mine had a decent number of scuffs and clear signs of use. It still works, so it wasn’t a complete waste, but I’d probably be a little more cautious about trusting the condition rating next time.

"Felt Misled by the Selection"
I checked back a few different times because I expected they’d have more of what I needed, but the inventory just wasn’t there. There was plenty of random stuff, sure, but not the sizes or gear I was actually looking for. it felt a bit misleading compared to what I thought I’d find.

I’m not fully convinced about this site yet. It doesn’t feel super trustworthy to me, and the whole thing gives off a bit of a shaky vibe. I’d probably be cautious before using it.

"Bad help when something went wrong"
I had an issue with my order, trying to get it sorted out was frustrating. The replies took around a day each time, and I felt like I kept having to explain the same problem over and over.
In the end, it didn’t really feel like anything was fully fixed. It felt more about closing the ticket than actually helping me, so I’m not really planning to order again.
"Prices seemed a bit too high"
I was checking out a few things on the site, the prices kind of made me pause. I’m not saying there isn’t a reason for it, but some items felt more marked up than I expected, especially compared to other surplus sites I’ve looked at. I almost placed an order, but in the end it just didn’t feel worth it for me. Not sure I’ll be checking back anytime soon.

I’m unsure about this one. The gear I received didn’t really look like the photos, and the tags felt a bit off to me. I reached out to customer service, but they weren’t much help. Overall, I just don’t feel great trusting that it’s authentic.
